ISSUE V OCTOBER 2003 THE AMERICAN INDIANS HAVE A MISSION "For those who shall be destroyed shall speak unto them out of the ground, and their speech shall be low out of the dust, and their voice shall be as one that hath a familiar spirit; for the Lord God will give unto him power, that he may whisper concerning them, even as it were out of the ground; and their speech shall whisper out of the dust. For thus saith the Lord God: They shall write the things which shall be done among them, and they shall be written and sealed up in a book, and those who have dwindled in unbelief shall not have them, for they seek to destroy the things of God." (Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 26:16 - 17) The American Indians have a mission as the covenant people of the Lord, to prepare for the building of the New Jerusalem, to gather as a people, and to become knowledgeable and obedient to the true points of the Lord’s doctrine. The organization that has been set up for them to accomplish their mission and calling is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and the Lord will use this Church to gather His people in great numbers. The Lord will hold accountable those who seek to pollute the doctrine of God’s Holy Church and hinder the work of the Lord to keep the American Indians from their rightful blessings. For when the opposition both within and outside of the membership and structure of the LDS Church distorts the Word of the Lord in the Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants scriptures, as well as the purpose of the original mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and especially the Lord’s will in gathering His American Indian people, it is the power of the Lord and the Lord himself they contest against. The gathering of the Lord’s Covenant people, the American Indians into the church of the Lord, will eventually restore the balance of truth to the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and that which is based on distortions and deception will be done away with. It will also restore the American Indians to ownership of the lands which they have first claim upon. It is prophesied that the American Indian people will take upon themselves that mantle of the Lord’s power that the current LDS People have forsaken, and prepare themselves for the return of the Lord, so that they may become the most blessed people on the earth and prepare to build the New Jerusalem. These are the people who are prophesied to gathered by the Lord "as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings," and the time is growing short for all people to repent and return to the Lord. At this time it is expedient for current members of the LDS Church to repent of their ways and shake loose from the stupor of thought which is enveloping them, for the church in early years has taught that it is the hope of all members to be numbered among the covenant people of the Lord in the building of the New Jerusalem. This was in fact accepted as one of the primary purposes of the Mormon Church, to gather the American Indians to the restored gospel so that their lands could be restored to them. It has been said in more than one scripture that the present conditions of the world would be so wicked, that when the time arrives that mankind awakes to a sense of their awful situations, everyone will be worried about their own salvation to the extent that they will not have time to worry about those of others. "The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day. For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low" (Old Testament | Isaiah 2:11 - 12)"The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof: for ye have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses." (Old Testament | Isaiah 3:13 - 14)"And it shall come in a day when the blood of saints shall cry unto the Lord, because of secret combinations and the works of darkness. " (Book of Mormon | Mormon 8:27)
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction." -Proverbs 1:7 Gone are the valiant Latter Day Saints, those men of honor, wisdom, truth and light, Gone are the Women of Mormondom, so lovely, virtuous and in knowledge did they delight. The lives they lead were without reproach, through storms of persecution did they endure, But now even within their own Church do they suffer character assassination without censure. The natural man of today cannot comprehend the sacrifices, and nobility of the many martyred, And yet even today people would do well to contemplate their return with fear and dread. My soul yearns for their company, leadership and a kindred spirit that now seems lost, Right is wrong, and wrong is made to be right, what mattered most, now matters least. Not too long ago, given as a light to the World, but now their light they have hidden, Like salt that has lost its savor, and is thenceforth good for nothing but to be trodden. In the open, infected, nearly fatal wounds that have been inflicted on our Church of late, Are the vile wretches that hell will claim, like maggots do they infest the flesh with hate. Our Church is like a mighty ship with a damaged helm, now spiritually adrift in a stormy sea, To restore steerage the lines must be replaced again, and a setting in order, the only way that it can be. Like drunkards with a giddy spirit of rebellion those that pilot thee, do err and stumble, Oh what has befallen a once righteous people who were so intelligent, meek and humble. Gone are the sober minded, and the unwavering testimony built upon a rock that now is sand, An Apostle from our past once gave this Prophetic warning "A test, a test, and who can stand?" Only those that know for themselves that Jesus is the Christ, and only they alone, Stand tall in an entire separation of the sheep from the goats, and the sheep shall all be one. Lofty tree now brings forth bitter fruit, but with a tender hand native branches will be grafted in. Soon these branches to the tree will restore, that sweet and precious fruit, the rest they will thin. The tree will recover, with the good roots nourishing these native branches who bear good fruit. Lofty ones will be pruned out, that they cumber not the ground, nor take from the root. The only hope for us who are identified with the Gentiles, is to repent, and be numbered with the House of Israel. Through God’s covenant to their fathers of old, and in turn through them all of God’s blessings will fulfill. The royal blood of Israel, to these native branches the birthright does belong. The ten lost tribes of Israel will come and assist in the mighty city’s building with a song. " Wherefore, prepare ye for the coming of the Bridegroom; go ye, go ye out to meet him. For behold, he shall stand uponthe mount of Olivet, and upon the mighty ocean, even the great deep, and upon the islands of the sea, and upon the land of Zion. And he shall utter his voice out of Zion, and he shall speak from Jerusalem, and his voice shall be heard among all people; And it shall be a voice as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder, which shall break down the mountains, and the valleys shall not be found. He shall command the great deep, and it shall be driven back into the north countries, and the islands shall become one land; "And the land of Jerusalem and the land of Zion shall be turned back into their own place, and the earth shall be like as it was in the days before it was divided. And the Lord, even the Savior, shall stand in the midst of his people, and shall reign over all flesh. And they who are in the north countries shall come in remembrance before the Lord; and their prophets shall hear his voice, and shall no longer stay themselves; and they shall smite the rocks, and the ice shall flow down at their presence. "And an highway shall be cast up in the midst of the great deep. "Their enemies shall become a prey unto them, "And in the barren deserts there shall come forth pools of living water; and the parched ground shall no longer be a thirsty land. And they shall bring forth their rich treasures unto the children of Ephraim, my servants. And the boundaries of the everlasting hills shall tremble at their presence. And there shall they fall down and be crowned with glory, even in Zion, by the hands of the servants of the Lord, even the children of Ephraim. And they shall be filled with songs of everlasting joy." (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 133:19 - 33)A Great Servant to Come "Yea, thus saith the still small voice, which whispereth through and pierceth all things, and often times it maketh my bones to quake while it maketh manifest, saying: And it shall come to pass that I, the Lord God, will send one mighty and strong, holding the scepter of power in his hand, clothed with light for a covering, whose mouth shall utter words, eternal words; while his bowels shall be a fountain of truth, to set in order the house of God, and to arrange by lot the inheritances of the saints whose names are found, and the names of their fathers, and of their children, enrolled in the book of the law of God;" (Doctrine and Covenants | Section 85:6 - 7)Much has been written on a great and mighty servant to come: That he will be armed with light, and power and truth. That he will bring truth and clarity and restore order to that which has been corrupted. That he will be a man to be awed in God’s Holy Church, for with him will be the spirit and power of the Lord. But there is more that has not been understood; that which has not been spelled out has led to many false assumptions. For when he comes to the saints, they will not be deprived of their free agency to reject him; the Lord will not simply present him to the world accompanied with invincible heavenly powers, for men must not be deprived of their opportunity to be tested. For the Lord has decreed that in this earthly test all men will not be deprived of their free agency to choose between that which is good and that which is evil. Those who look for the high profile entrance of a grand and powerful being will stumble on their own delusion, for by expecting an easily recognizable power, they would be deprived of their free agency. They would not be tested with the choice, to choose truth or to choose confusion, the choice of good verses evil. Because most will be looking towards the wealthy and privileged social classes of society for those leaders they will to follow, they will reject the notion of the Lord’s power coming from where they think not to search, and from the downtrodden and the poor. "Wherefore, I call upon the weak things of the world, those who are unlearned and despised, to thrash the nations by the power of my spirit; and their arm shall be my arm, and I will be their shield and their buckler; and I will gird up their loins, and they shall fight manfully for me; and their enemies shall be under their feet; and I will let fall the sword in their behalf, and by the fire of mine indignation will I preserve them." (Doctrine and Covenants, 35:12_14) 1. Then shall the RIGHTEOUS MAN STAND IN GREAT BOLDNESS before the face of such as have afflicted him, and made no account of his labours. 2. When they see it, they shall be troubled with terrible fear, and shall be amazed at the strangeness of his salvation, so far beyond all that they looked for. 3. And they repenting and groaning for anguish of spirit shall say within themselves, this was he, whom we had sometimes in derision, and a proverb of reproach. 4. We fools accounted his life madness, and his end to be without honor. 5. How is HE numbered among the children of God, and his lot is among the saints! " Wisdom from the Apocrypha, Chapter 5 For what use would free agency be if people would face no opposition for choosing that which is true? The appearance of any prophet, including the Savior, has not deprived man of his free agency. All who have been true prophets have been hated and shunned for the message of sharp rebuke and repentance they bear to the world. For the clear pattern established by those who have gained leadership among LDS people is the edification of men noted for worldly accomplishments.Any student of scriptural history should know that mankind has never been deprived of their free agency to persecute and kill the prophets, from Biblical times to the present, although the power of the Lord will be turned against those who seek to harm His servants. Throughout history, all who have hated truth have not been deprived of their choice to try to kill and/or destroy the prophets, although they are prevented by the power of the Lord to martyr His servants until they have completed their earthly mission. All perform service in the Lord’s work will find His protection until the time He takes them unto himself, and according to His will. It is truly written "A prophet is not without honor save in his own country." When the Jews expected a grand worldly entrance of a mighty and powerful King, their king arrived in the humblest circumstances, born in a modest setting into a humble family. So it has always been the way of the Lord’s prophets coming into the world. Joseph Smith said many of the people of his day were of the same spirit as those who crucified the Savior; it stands to reason that this is more true than ever today with the present conditions of wickedness in the world. It stands to reason that the one mighty and strong will not likely emerge from the current church hierarchy; as in the Bible times people naturally assume to look in the public eye for men of great calling, and they could not fathom to comprehend that the Savior, for example could come from the humblest of circumstances. The Lord is not a respecter of worldly status. If anyone is thinking the One Mighty and Strong would emerge from a popularity contest, they are sorely mistaken. As Heber C. Kimball predicted in the great test shown to him, "only those that know for themselves that Jesus is the Christ will be able to stand." Most false prophets are easily detected, for they seek after their own glory. If the current people of the world and even most of the current church were to meet a man of the ideals that Joseph Smith stood for they would despise him and everything he stood for, more so than in the times when the church was founded. They would naturally want him discredited and destroyed. What if a 14 year old boy had a vision like Joseph Smith did in today’s world? Joseph Smith at least had the support of his family and a few close friends, although he was betrayed by many who had a high calling in the church. How would he be dealt with in the current times? In our society which considers itself progressing to levels of expertise and sophistication surpassing even wisdom from the Lord, a boy such as this would most likely be swarmed with college educated, degree laden "experts" eager to make a diagnosis for what would be called his "delusions." It is a fact that many esteemed members of today’s LDS Church take this same approach in analyzing their professed religious beliefs and church history, as if they were the subjects of a grand laboratory experiment. As with the times of the pharisees and publicans of the New Testament Jewish church, the majority in the Mormon church would reject the boy Joseph Smith for not having proper authority conferred upon him from church leaders to receive revelation. He would be repudiated for not emerging from their popular leadership and obtaining their approval to be so worthy as to have a visitation from heaven without church leaders present. The Mormon Church leaders would reject him and refuse intelligent examination of his message for the same reasons Christians reject the Book of Mormon, for it would contradict their teachings of their own religious infallibility. For a boy such as Joseph Smith would proclaim the same gospel he preached close to two centuries earlier, which of course would be considered completely alien to much of what is now taught in the current LDS Church. If he was a member of an LDS family, they would seek counsel and guidance from their leaders to assist their son with his "imagination problem," for the stigma of standing in contrast and contradiction to though processes of other LDS members would be too much pressure to withstand, and the parents would likely succumb to the pressure of submitting the fate of the boy to the "experts." The pressure on this 14 year old to recant and say he made the story up would be unbearable. He would likely be referred to psychological experts and prescribed medication to treat what would be diagnosed a psychological disorder of delusions and an excessive imagination. No expense would be spared in psychological and psychiatric testing and finding treatment and medication to help the "troubled" youth overcome his "belief" that he received a visitation. As they did in Joseph Smith’s time, modern Christian leaders would not take into account the fact of his being an innocent boy of young age, and ridicule him and mock the boy’s claims, persecuting the young boy rather than show him that understanding they would preach if another child walked away from their accepted teachings. With the "experts" firmly in place in today’s society, it is likely his story and message would never be received nor brought to the attention of the public; he would most likely be referred to a psychiatric institution as a case study to be detained and observed. Demonstrating what they referred to as "concern," those treating the boy would boast of their knowledge and their goodness, while their efforts to break down the boy’s mind would be relentless with tests and medication to purge the boy’s mind. His only recourse to avoid a life of degradation and abuse would be to recant and say he made up his story. Hateful mobs of violent detractors would demand that the resulting hundreds of pages of divinely intelligent scriptures be dismissed as a childhood prank, without sincere and objective examination of their content. And it is in this way that it has become possible that revelation and prophecy has been shut out from among the current people of the LDS Church. Few people have retained the means to discern what truth is, because they don't realize what it means to have a true testimony of the true points of the Lord’s doctrine; if this were not the case then large numbers of Mormons would take the words of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon more seriously, rather than pay them lip service. (A compilation of scriptural references on this topic is on the website cryfromthedust.net, "The Return of the Prophet Joseph Smith.") " For of him unto whom much is given much is required; and he who sins against the greater light shall receive the greater condemnation." (Doctrine and Covenants Section 82:3) The coming of the Lord will be a dreadful day for the unprepared and the wicked. All who have become members of the Mormon Faith have accepted a great responsibility in their calling as "Saints." They have agreed to bear the vessel of the Lord, not to fit in with their fellow men who have chosen worldly standards of right and wrong and truth, not to seek after worldly praise for worldly and vain accomplishments, but to bring the message of the light of the Gospel no matter what the cost of self-sacrifice and persecution. They have agreed to live as in the saying of the Apostle Paul: "All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." More so than ever, in an age where truth is threatened with extinction, a true saint must be willing to risk everything to proclaim the knowledge of the Lord to the world, to not weaken faith of others by teaching a trust in the weak flesh of mortal religious leaders, but to live a life of seeking and following the Holy Spirit and standing for truth above all else. "And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness. And the meek also shall increase, and their joy shall be in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. For assuredly as the Lord liveth they shall see that the terrible one is brought to naught, and the scorner is consumed, and all that watch for iniquity are cut off.." (Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 27:29 - 35)The 15-17th verses of the 98th Section of the Doctrine and Covenants has been mentioned in previous issues, and it's literal meaning is very striking, concluding with "lest I come and smite the whole earth with a curse, and all flesh be consumed..." When we try to identify who in the world is truly serving the Lord, living and delivering His message, and trying to spread the true points of His gospel, this is a sobering thought indeed, that the thread connecting us to heaven and preserving the church and the world may come down to a very small number of righteous people, which numbers of the truly righteous conceivably may at times possibly be as few as one. Many are familiar with trials of the early Mormon church when most of the Mormons lived in Kirtland, when at the lowest point it was said there were only a "handful" of true saints on the face of the earth, if that many. Here is one of the last quotes from Joseph Smith to the Nauvoo Legion before going to Carthage: "You will gather many people into the vastnesses of the Rocky Mountains as a center for the gathering of the people, and you will be faithful because you have been true; and many of those that come under your ministry, because of their much learning, will seek for high positions, and they will raise themselves in eminence above you, but you will walk in low places unnoticed and you will know all that transpires in their midst, and those that are my friends will be your friends. This I will promise you, that when I come again to lead you forth, for I will go to prepare a place for you, so that where I am you shall be with me." The Following Quotes Refer to the LDS People of Today "For behold, ye do love money, and your substance, and your fine apparel, and the adorning of your churches, more than ye love the poor and the needy, the sick and the afflicted. O ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the holy church of God? Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ? Why do ye not think that greater is the value of an endless happiness than that misery which never dies—because of the praise of the world? Why do ye adorn yourselves with that which hath no life, and yet suffer the hungry, and the needy, and the naked, and the sick and the afflicted to pass by you, and notice them not? Yea, why do ye build up your secret abominations to get gain, and cause that widows should mourn before the Lord, and also orphans to mourn before the Lord, and also the blood of their fathers and their husbands to cry unto the Lord from the ground, for vengeance upon your heads? Behold, the sword of vengeance hangeth over you; and the time soon cometh that he avengeth the blood of the saints upon you, for he will not suffer their cries any longer". (Book of Mormon | Mormon 8:37 - 41)Quote from Brigham Young : "Brethren, this Church will be led onto the very brink of hell, by the leaders of this people– Then God will raise up the One Mighty and Strong– to save and redeem this Church." 1867 Provo Bowery Conference ‘And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up." Isaiah 28:4 "And thus commandeth the Father that I should say unto you: At that day when the Gentiles(Mormon Church) shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, and above all the people of the whole earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations; and if they shall do all those things, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, behold, saith the Father, I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them. And then will I remember my covenant which I have made unto my people, O house of Israel(American Indians), and I will bring my gospel unto them. And I will show unto thee, O house of Israel, that the Gentiles shall not have power over you; but I will remember my covenant unto you, O house of Israel, and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fulness of my gospel. But if the (Current LDS People)Gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel.(Book of Mormon Chapter 16) "And if ye seek the riches which it is the will of the Father to give unto you, ye shall be the richest of all people, for ye shall have the riches of eternity; and it must needs be that the riches of the earth are mine to give; but beware of pride, lest ye become as the Nephites of old." Doctrine and Covenants, 38:39 "Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst." (Old Testament | Isaiah 5:13)Heber C. Kimball prophesied the following; "The time is coming when we will be mixed up in these peaceful valleys to that extent that it will be difficult to tell the face of a Saint from the face of an enemy to the people of God. Then, brethren, look out for the great sieve, for there will be a great sifting time, and many will fall; There will be an entire separation of the sheep from the goats. For I say unto you, there is a test, a TEST, a TEST, coming, and who will be able to stand? No one will be able to endure on borrowed light. Only those that know for themselves that Jesus is the Christ will stand. They won’t be able to go to their leaders for advice, because their leaders will not be available. The Church will pass through a close place, but it will come through. The pressure will become so great that the more righteous among them will cry unto the Lord day and night until deliverance comes. Then the Prophet Joseph and others will make their appearance and those who have remained faithful will be selected to return to Jackson County, Missouri and take part in the upbuilding of that beautiful city, the New Jerusalem."
The Building of New Jerusalem
"the remnant of the house of Joseph shall be built upon this land ; and it shall be a land of their inheritance; and they shall build up a holy city unto the Lord," Book of Mormon, Ether 13:8 "AND I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son." (New Testament | Revelation 21:1 - 7)It is becoming evident that the Lord favors the American Indian people of this time and the power of the Lord will be with this people in restoring the lands of America to this covenant people of the Lord. And when this people become strong in the knowledge of God, it will be a time when those of the covenant people of the Lord who have escaped the judgements will build up a tremendous city to the Lord, and where peace will reign. During this time which is soon to come, it is primarily American Indian people who will carry out the honor of building this city, as they are the ones who are blessed with the power of the Lord to bring light and knowledge to the world now and in the future. The current LDS people now have the opportunity to repent and return to the true gospel they have departed from, so that there might be some small number of Gentiles that have sufficiently repented to maintain their hopes to be numbered with the Lord’s covenant people, the American Indians. "And thus the Lord did pour out his blessings upon this land, which was choice above all other lands; and he commanded that whoso should possess the land should possess it unto the Lord, or they should be destroyed when they were ripened in iniquity; for upon such, saith the Lord: I will pour out the fulness of my wrath." (Book of Mormon | Ether 9:20)"For the time speedily cometh that the Lord God shall cause a great division among the people, and the wicked will he destroy; and he will spare his people, yea, even if it so be that he must destroy the wicked by fire. "And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. " And then shall the wolf dwell with the lamb; and the leopard shall lie down with the kid, and the calf, and the young lion, and the fatling, together; and a little child shall lead them. "And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. "And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice's den."They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. "Wherefore, the things of all nations shall be made known; yea, all things shall be made known unto the children of men. "There is nothing which is secret save it shall be revealed; there is no work of darkness save it shall be made manifest in the light; and there is nothing which is sealed upon the earth save it shall be loosed. "Wherefore, all things which have been revealed unto the children of men shall at that day be revealed; and Satan shall have power over the hearts of the children of men no more, for a long time. And now, my beloved brethren, I make an end of my sayings." (3 Nephi 10-18)A War Against Truth
Consider the Designs of Satan, described in Mormon Doctrine and Covenants Section 124, verse 12: "For there are many yet on the earth among all sects, parties, and denominations, who are blinded by the subtle craftiness of men, whereby they lie in wait of men, whereby, they lie in wait to deceive, and who are only kept from the truth because they know not where to find it."The subtle craftiness of men - Is there a place in anyone's life where the subtle craftiness of men has at some point not gained a foothold? Why is it that truth often seems no longer to be found, and why does it seem many who attempt to seek truth become ensnared? Who can cite an infallible source of truth among the arms of flesh and their teachings in that we know will never fail to guide us to absolute truth? Why is it in our natures to seek out and edify those who proclaim "expertise" so that we may be told what we know, instead of knowing what we know? When put into these terms it becomes very clear we all are left to our own consciences and desires as to whether we will search out the scriptures and the Holy Spirit to guide us.We must avoid any false teachings in our paths, to avoid stumbling in our own errors in judgement, and to fall into the accepted teachings of the defective reasoning of men. Is there anyone who truly believes they have not at some point fallen into error and relied on the precepts of men instead of God? How many have humbled themselves in their own pride and self importance, to sufficiently be receptive to the guiding teachings of the Holy spirit available through our prayers? What has been done to discard errors and absurdities in those interpretations we have based on false assumptions? How much are we in fear of finding the courage to stand alone if necessary, to stand up for truth? We are all products of what has been taught to us, vulnerable to what we have learned in formal education, what we learn from societal mediums and who we associate with, and the traditions of our fathers. They who seek to live in the truth of God are of the "weak things of the world" referred to in Doctrine and Covenants 35:12, for to exist in truth, one may find they unavoidably are forced to stand alone, in contradiction to the vain teachings of the world at large. Suppose it can be said that there is an honest person living on the earth today, who can claim they are not deceived in some way by the precepts of men; it can likely be proven they are not the leaders people in general look to as sources of knowledge and wisdom, for it is human nature to follow those that tell us what we want to hear; human nature tells us to shun those we feel may tell us truths which make us uncomfortable. Although it is unavoidable that we must rely on others for much of what we learn, we must be on guard to avoid and correct minor errors which when taken to heart lead to major errors in the paths we choose to follow. We send our little children to school so that they can learn to blindly accept that which their teachers have themselves blindly accepted, definitions of truth emanating from the "experts" of what we call institutions of higher learning. The media of our society and our schools impart a whole new belief system to our children. A belief system that would qualify by every definition to be a religion, one which has been taught to us through "social engineering" and one which has been approved to be defined as truth by "consensus" of experts. Immediately, our children are taught that the earth is not what the Bible teaches, and that life originated over absurd periods of time in incomprehensible and scientifically impossible ways. Therefore, our children learn new theories requiring an imagination and a blind faith, and they naturally trust that the messengers in their education will not deliver false information. Yet conveniently, no one is forced to prove the validity of the mental gymnastics of a so-called science which go far beyond any established religion in its demands for belief based on faith. We are offered vague scientific explanations which rely on other vague and incomprehensive theories as proof. And after we take the vague theories to heart as fact, we are offered complex mathematical formulas as further proof, even though the basis of the complex formulas are assumptions rooted in the vague theories we came to question in the first place. And by the complex formulas which are based on the weak scientific theories, even the intelligent and the educated can be shouted down for not being able to clearly discuss the impossibilities of the impossible, should they dare to question the validity of the science it is rooted in. It is only the very rare and infrequent questioning individuals who by chance are inquisitive enough to delve into the results of the scientific formulas; and only then is it discovered the extent that error ratios of staggering proportions are considered acceptable, simply because they are based on faulty assumptions to begin with. And as average and even educated thinkers become perplexed in attempts to comprehend the complexities of those formulas which are usually only partially explained to us, most of us yield to what we consider to be a higher scientific understanding of the purported experts of knowledge. We willingly place our trust and the fate of our children’s minds and souls into the hands of a system crafted by those cunning experts who perpetuate these deceptions on us, for most of us do not know to examine the absurdities used as a basis in the science and the formulas we allow to guide our society. This information is taught religiously, until the teachings of our schools become the unofficial state imposed religion, so that our children will learn to reject those truths and that wisdom which comes from the Lord. How can truth survive?
The Guardian of Truth "And it came to pass that the angel spake unto me, saying: Look! And I looked and beheld a man, and he was dressed in a white robe. And the angel said unto me: Behold one of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. Behold, he shall see and write the remainder of these things; yea, and also many things which have been. And he shall also write concerning the end of the world. ‘Wherefore, the things which he shall write are just and true; and behold they are written in the book which thou beheld proceeding out of the mouth of the Jew; and at the time they proceeded out of the mouth of the Jew, or, at the time the book proceeded out of the mouth of the Jew, the things which were written were plain and pure, and most precious and easy to the understanding of all men. And behold, the things which this apostle of the Lamb shall write are many things which thou hast seen; and behold, the remainder shalt thou see. But the things which thou shalt see hereafter thou shalt not write; for the Lord God hath ordained the apostle of the Lamb of God that he should write them. "And also others who have been, to them hath he shown all things, and they have written them; and they are sealed up to come forth in their purity, according to the truth which is in the Lamb, in the own due time of the Lord, unto the house of Israel. "And I, Nephi, heard and bear record, that the name of the apostle of the Lamb was John, according to the word of the angel."And behold, I, Nephi, am forbidden that I should write the remainder of the things which I saw and heard; wherefore the things which I have written sufficeth me; and I have written but a small part of the things which I saw." (Book of Mormon, 1 Nephi 14:18 - 28) "Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me. Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die..." (New Testament | John 21:21 - 25)A translated being, one of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. He whose calling it is to record and write history, not that which is conceived by the popular opinions and revisions of weak men, but that which the Lord has decreed will adhere to the truth. For many prophets have seen those things that will come, but have been forbidden to write what they have been shown. Various reports of a man seem to follow the same pattern. A chance encounter with the well-mannered elderly man who may appear to be in his mid seventies but sometimes may appear more youthful. This man may unexpectedly show up on one’s doorstep to home or business and make a simple request or offer; he may in kindness offer to do a simple task. He converses in an unusual manner, speaking in religious parables which may seem strange to those listening. He then will leave a blessing upon the building or dwelling and its occupants if he was invited into it. Upon leaving, the moment he is out the door and out of sight he vanishes; those who have tried to come watch which direction he went find no trace of him in any direction in the moments after he has left the building. He speaks as a man coming from a point of reference of knowing nothing but truth, to a world where truth is in serious danger of extinction. "An old man makes an appearance at a small café and orders a cup of coffee. He quickly draws attention to himself, for although he behaves graciously, most of what he speaks is in peculiar religious parables, which arouses the curiosity of those close enough to notice. The woman who owns the business describes him to be approximately 5'11" with a wiry build, a man appearing to be in his seventies, but very energetic in nature. "There is a very unusual feeling about the special guest, but she cannot quite determine the meaning and significance of the stranger. Before he leaves, he blesses the café and its owners, the woman and her husband. She watches as he exits through the inside exit doors into the entry way. As she is curious as to where he may be headed, she takes a few steps to look out the window so she can see him leave through the exterior doors of the building’s vestibule. Those particular doors never open, nor is the elderly gentleman outside the building. Still with a clear view looking out the window, she steps back to see if he is coming back inside the restaurant, but those doors remain closed also. "She wonders why he walked into the entry way and never left, so she walks a few steps and goes through the exit. The entry way is empty, so she continues out the building through the second entry doors. She has a clear view both up and down the street for a long distance, but the old gentleman is nowhere to be seen. The time elapsed was mere seconds since she had seen him leave, yet there is not a trace of the man in any direction nor in the moments of her subsequent walk around the building. A strange feeling comes over her, and the thought enters her mind that she had just seen John the Revelator." Another account: "An elderly man approaches a young man waiting for a bus one morning in Salt Lake City, making statements such as "some people want it all" (meaning they cheated others) and stating strange religious parables such as "the fools, they think it is the end when they go down in the pit," and "worms turn into butterflies, there you have the resurrection," the impression being an ugly worm limited to crawling, transformed into a beautiful butterfly which could fly in freedom. The statement is meant to be a comparison to mortals having something better in the resurrection. He states he listened to the sermons in the Tabernacle on Temple Square, and "it comes from their lips, not their hearts."
"Forasmuch as this people draw near unto me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their hearts far from me, and their fear towards me is taught by the precepts of men—" (Book of Mormon | 2 Nephi 27:25)
Quote of the Month: A prophet in the Book of Mormon was shown all things and told his people of these latter days, and spoke of the New Jeruselam to be built soon by the American Indians: "AND now I, Moroni, proceed to finish my record concerning the destruction of the people of whom I have been writing. "For behold, they rejected all the words of Ether; for he truly told them of all things, from the beginning of man; and that after the waters had receded from off the face of this land it became a choice land above all other lands, a chosen land of the Lord; wherefore the Lord would have that all men should serve him who dwell upon the face thereof; And that it was the place of the New Jerusalem, which should come down out of heaven, and the holy sanctuary of the Lord. "Behold, Ether saw the days of Christ, and he spake concerning a New Jerusalem upon this land. And he spake also concerning the house of Israel, and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come—after it should be destroyed it should be built up again, a holy city unto the Lord; wherefore, it could not be a new Jerusalem for it had been in a time of old; but it should be built up again, and become a holy city of the Lord; and it should be built unto the house of Israel. And that a New Jerusalem should be built up upon this land, unto the remnant of the seed of Joseph(American Indians), for which things there has been a type."For as Joseph brought his father down into the land of Egypt, even so he died there; wherefore, the Lord brought a remnant of the seed of Joseph out of the land of Jerusalem, that he might be merciful unto the seed of Joseph that they should perish not, even as he was merciful unto the father of Joseph that he should perish not. Wherefore, the remnant of the house of Joseph(the American Indians) shall be built upon this land; and it shall be a land of their inheritance; and they shall build up a holy city unto the Lord, like unto the Jerusalem of old; and they shall no more be confounded, until the end come when the earth shall pass away. "And there shall be a new heaven and a new earth; and they shall be like unto the old save the old have passed away, and all things have become new. And then cometh the New Jerusalem; and blessed are they who dwell therein, for it is they whose garments are white through the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who are numbered among the remnant of the seed of Joseph, who were of the house of Israel. And then also cometh the Jerusalem of old; and the inhabitants thereof, blessed are they, for they have been washed in the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who were scattered and gathered in from the four quarters of the earth, and from the north countries, and are partakers of the fulfilling of the covenant which God made with their father, Abraham. And when these things come, bringeth to pass the scripture which saith, there are they who were first, who shall be last; and there are they who were last, who shall be first.
