THE APOSTASY OF THE MODERN MORMON CHURCH

"And blessed are the Gentiles, they of whom the prophet has written; for behold, if it so be that they shall repent and fight not against Zion, and do not unite themselves to that great and abominable church, they shall be saved;..........."

What is meant by this passage in 2 Nephi, 6 v-12?

For the Mormons it means that they must stop pandering to the praise of the world and that they should stop trying to make the Mormon Church fit in with the popular mainstream Christian religions and not unite themselves to that great and abominable church. The Mormons should return to the teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith. It means that they must wake up and deliver themselves from those who have set themselves up in eminence above them and are leading them astray. They must reestablish the true doctrine of the early Mormon Church. "O ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the Holy church of God? (Only the members of this Church can pollute it.) Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ? Why do ye not think that greater is the value of an endless happiness than that misery which never dies- because of the praise of the world." Mormon 8 v 38. They are ashamed of the early Mormon doctrine to the extent that they feel they must change it to suit themselves and the new church that they are trying to create.

The pseudo Mormon scholars, and apologists who have set themselves in eminence above the people are at it again. The revisionists are busying themselves in rewriting Church History and indeed the Book of Mormon itself. With nonsensical whims and frivolous assumptions they come to conclusions that are from their very own vain imaginings. Joseph Smith stated that any man who would teach any other doctrine than what he has taught will be cursed, he also said "but when men come out and build upon other men’s foundations, they do it on their own responsibility, without authority from God; and when the floods come and the winds blow, their foundations will be found to be sand, and their whole fabric will crumble to dust.

Outside printing houses now are printing the Book of Mormon and selling the Holy Word of the Lord for a profit. Holy Scriptures should never be sold for a profit, but they should be available to all men at or below the cost of their printing for the benefit of mankind.

Various and sundry versions of the Book of Mormon are now in print. Many of them are cartoon versions of the real thing and are designed to destroy the dignity of the Holy Scripture that the Book of Mormon is. Literally they have changed the Holy Scriptures by altering the most precious truths and sacred meanings into their own modern day false interpolations. And like any cartoon, they change the written historical accounts of the Book of Mormon into fairy tales, fables and myths. Thus they can brain wash the children and feeble minded adults into believing in a make believe world of the fantasy-book-of-mormon that they have created while reaping large monetary gains by selling out their own religion and distorting the truth. Mothers put their little children in front of television sets for hours on end with cartoon versions of the scriptures playing. Through their indolence they unwittingly subject their children to a mental programing that will not surface until the children are mature enough to try to comprehend the seriousness of the Holy Scriptures. Why is this a problem? Because it would be a rare individual indeed who would not succumb and be affected by the nonsensical whims and fairy tale like presentations that are available in the various different media forms and even silly movies in the theaters. A famous saying that the early Mormons believed in was "read not the works of infidels lest they have a lasting effect upon your immortal soul." and no one whose mind has been polluted by these silly stories and images can ever become a serious student of the scriptures! As they mature and study over the years all of the knowledge that they have had contact with will blend together, fact and fiction, into what will become the foundation of their reasoning ability. The ridiculous cartoon images that they were brought up on, are etched into their minds, and when the subject is thought of, instead of a holy prophet of God coming to mind, the image of a cartoon character is what they think of. And so it is that many members of the Mormon Church who are too lazy to read and study the real scriptures, will get up and bear their testimonies based on a fictitious work such as the "Work and the Glory" which portrays the characters as an actual representation of real life Mormon history, and since they have never read the real accounts and diaries, they believe in the make believe characters of that particular work to the extent that they think they are real. Even if they read of the real accounts, the fictitious works affect the way they interpret the real thing. So it is apparent that a testimony based on fiction has no real value at all, to the bearer or to the listener. To all of these members, their testimonies are built on the sand and when the winds blow and the storms come they will find that all that they have had, has crumbled to dust.

What of all of the wretched modern so-called Mormon novelists and authors of fictitious works that literally fill the bookstores to overflowing with their little house on the prairie quaint hillbilly speak of the "Ma and Pa, yes’ms"and colloquial vagaries of the simpletons that they imagine the early Mormon peoples to be? Woe be to them that sell their own religion for that which cankers. These people are traitors to their own religion. Lecherous, venomous creatures that have attached themselves to the Holy Scriptures to get gain., and pollute and corrupt the Religion of God.

And to the woeful concatenation of all of those who would make MYSTERY BABYLON out of the plain and preciously simple religion that Joseph Smith restored to our modern time. To all of the authors of the commentaries, directories and books of how to be politically correct in the modern Mormon church. And in order to fit into the stereotypical mold, where each and every phrase of Mormon doctrine is to be perceived and interpreted at this particular moment in time which they have changed from much of the doctrine of just three or four decades ago, which in turn also was somewhat changed from the original doctrine! "why have ye polluted the Holy Church of God?" (Mrm. 8 v 38) These so-called intellectuals are like a cancer upon the church who rapidly infest the healthy organs with their diseased ideas, to the destruction and infestation of the entire Church as a whole. They build Megalithic Monuments to their Mediocrity all the while ignoring the more important matters.

The radio and television advertisements about "family" do not represent the dignity and sobriety that should be expected from the Mormon religion? Many people find them offensive. D&C 43-34-35 "....let the solemnities of eternity rest upon your minds. Be sober. Keep all of my commandments."

Recently an organization of so called Mormon Intellectuals known as FAIR have attempted to alter the doctrine that American Indians are descended from Israelites as was taught from the very inception of the Church. These so called FAIR scholars insist that American Indians being of Israelite descent is not canonical or revelatory. They back up these vain assumptions by quoting obscure statements from church leaders and scholars who are from a much later date than the original leaders and prophets. Their sloppy research is amazing in that they ignore the mountains of evidence to the contrary. And like the Pharisees of old, these FAIR scholars are pandering to the latest dogma. They wish to embrace what the inconclusive genetic tests are showing regarding the heritage of the American Indian.. And so they throw everything out the window just to conform to the latest notion, which as we all know, can change in an instant.

It is clear that apostatizing against the foundation of the Church will not allow the development of correct modern doctrine, for if the foundation is destroyed, then there is no solid substance to build their modern theories upon. The Mormon religion is either correct or it is incorrect. It cannot be both ways. It can be likened to a mathematical equation: If the first part of the equation is a mistake, then there is no way to arrive at the correct conclusion. And so it is with the Mormon Church. If the original leaders were in error, then the current leaders cannot be correct, and the whole church is wrong. You cannot say that the original leaders were wrong or even superstitious simpletons or put down the earlier tenets or slander the earlier doctrine even to the least degree and still claim to be right

The only way that the Mormon religion can be true, is, if the founders of this religion were correct and very intelligent beings, and that the doctrine is the unchangeable religion and doctrine of Christ, which is the same unchangeable religion and doctrine that has existed from Adams time down to the present day! Which if one studies the religion they will find clearly that Joseph Smith and the early leaders of this church were indeed very intelligent and that this religion fits into the doctrine of all the ages, and that this doctrine cannot be changed or altered to the least degree and still be the truth..

But on the other hand if the first part of the equation is correct and mistakes are made towards the end of the equation, the correct answer can still be achieved if you correct the recent mistakes. And so if the Mormon religion is true and the modern leaders are in error, the original leaders must still be correct or the entire religion would be wrong!

There are no gray areas. Everything is black and white, right or wrong, true or false. It is as precise, as it is simple to the understanding of man. The crystal clarity is for all to have and those who would try to muddy or cloud it up will not succeed.

So in order to get the most accurate doctrine one must go back to the source.

History of the Church, by Joseph Smith page 118

At this time a great desire was manifested by several of the Elders respecting the remnants of the house of Joseph, the Lamanites, residing in the west - knowing that the purposes of God were great respecting that people, and hoping that the time had come when the promises of the Almighty in regard to them were about to be accomplished, and that they would receive the Gospel, and enjoy its blessings. The desire being so great, it was agreed that we should inquire of the Lord respecting the propriety of sending some of the Elders among them, which we accordingly did, and received the following

Revelation to Parley P. Pratt and Ziba Peterson, given October, 1830 (D & C 32)

1. And now concerning my servant Parley P. Pratt, Behold I say unto him that as I live I will that he shall declare my Gospel and learn of me, and be meek and lowly at heart.

2. And that which I have appointed unto him is that he shall go with my servants Oliver Cowdery and Peter Whitmer, Jun., into the wilderness among the Lamanites.

3. And Ziba Peterson also shall go with them; and I myself will go with them and be in their midst; and I am their advocate with the Father, and nothing shall prevail against them.

4. And they shall give heed to that which is written, and pretend to no other revelation, and they shall pray always that I may unfold the same to their understanding.

5. And they shall give heed unto these words and trifle not, and I will bless them. Amen.

Immediately on receiving this revelation, preparations were made for the journey of the brethren therein designated, to the borders of the Lamanites, and a copy of the revelation was given them. They bade adieu to their brethren and friends, and commenced their journey, preaching by the way, and leaving a sealing testimony behind them, lifting up their voice like a trump in the different villages through which they passed.

The above revelation is part of the Doctrine and Covenants and comprises section 32 given in October of 1830 This shows in plain English that this is both canonical and revelatory.

The Mission to the Lamanites: (page 183)

As the "mission to the Lamanites" is a very prominent event in early Church history, it is proper that the labors of the brethren engaged in it should be spoken of more fully than appears anywhere in the prophet’’s narrative, and at this point, following the letter of Oliver Cowdery, seems as appropriate a place as will be found to speak of it.... After leaving Kirtland, on their journey westward, they visited the Wyandot tribe of Indians near Sandusky, Ohio, with whom they spent several days. "We were well received," writes Elder Parley P. Pratt, "and had an opportunity of laying before them the record of their forefathers, which we did. They rejoiced in the tidings, bid us Godspeed and desired us to write to them in relation to our success among the tribes further west, who had already removed to the Indian territory, where these expected soon to go." Aut. P. P. Pratt p. 54

On arriving in Independence two of the company secured employment, while the other three crossed the frontier and began their labors among the Indians. They visited the Shawnees, spending one night with them, and the next day crossed the Kansas River and began their labors among the Delawares. They sought an interview with the chief of the Delawares, known among the whites as Chief Anderson. He was the grand sachem of ten nations or tribes, and consequently possessed of large influence. He had always opposed the introduction of missionaries among his people, and therefore did not at first extend a very hearty welcome to the brethren. However, through an interpreter, the brethren made known their errand and explained to him the Book of Mormon and the information it contained for his people. They asked to be heard before a full council of his nation, a proposition which the chief took under consideration until the next day. Next morning the conversation with the Delaware Chief was renewed, but he was not inclined at first to call the council. But as he began to understand better the nature of the Book of Mormon, he changed his mind and asked the brethren to suspend the conversation until the council could be assembled. A runner was dispatched to the tribes, and in about an hour forty leading men were assembled and seated in grave silence to hear the message concerning the book of their forefathers. At the request of the Chief, Oliver Cowdery in substance delivered the following address:

OLIVER COWDERY’’S SPEECH TO THE DELAWARES.

"Aged Chief, and venerable council of the Delaware nation; we are glad of this opportunity to address you as our red brethren and friends. We have traveled a long distance from towards the rising sun to bring you glad news: we have traveled the wilderness, crossed the deep and wide rivers, and waded in the deep snows, and in the face of the storms of winter, to communicate to you great knowledge which has lately come to our ears and hearts and which will do the red man good as well as the pale face.

"Once the red man were many; they occupied the country from sea to sea - from the rising to the setting sun; the whole land was theirs; the Great Spirit gave it to them, and no pale faces dwelt among them. But now they are few in numbers; their possessions are small, and the pale faces are many.

"Thousands of moons ago, when the red men’’s forefathers dwelt in peace and possessed the whole land, the Great Spirit talked with them, and revealed His law and His will, and much knowledge to their wise men and prophets. This they wrote in a Book, together with their history and the things which should befall their children in the latter days.

"This Book was written on plates of gold and handed down from father to son for many ages and generations.

"It was then that the people prospered and were strong and mighty; they cultivated the earth, built buildings and cities and abounded in all good things, as the pale faces now do.

"But they became wicked; they killed one another and shed much blood; they killed their prophets and wise men, and sought to destroy the Book. The Great Spirit became angry and would speak to them no more; they had no more good and wise dreams; no more visions; no more angels sent among them by the Great Spirit; and the Lord commanded Mormon and Moroni, their last wise men and prophets to hide the Book in the earth, that it might be preserved in safety and found and made known in the latter-day to the pale faces who should possess the land, that they might again make it known to the red men, in order to restore them to the knowledge of the will of the Great Spirit and to His favor. And if the red men would then receive this Book and learn the things written in it and do according thereunto, they should be restored to all their rights and privileges; Should cease to fight and kill one another; should become one people; cultivate the earth in peace, in common with the pale faces, who were willing to believe and obey the same Book and be good men and live in peace.

"Then should the red men become great and have plenty to eat and good clothes to wear, and should be in favor with the great spirit and be His children, while He would be their Great Father and talk with them, and raise up prophets and wise and good men among them again, who should teach them many things.

"This book which contained these things, was hid in the earth by Moroni, in a hill called by him Cumorah, which hill is now in the state of New York, near the village of Palmyra, in Ontario County.

"In that neighborhood there lived a young man named Joseph Smith, who prayed to the Great Spirit much, in order that he might know the truth, and a Great Spirit sent an angel to him and told him where this Book was hid by Moroni, and commanded him to go and get it. He accordingly went to the place and dug in the earth and found the book written on golden plates.

"But it was written in the language of the forefathers of the red men; therefore this young man, being a pale face, could not understand it; but the angel told him and showed him and gave him knowledge of the language and how to interpret the Book. So he interpreted it into the language of the pale faces, and wrote it on paper and caused it to be printed, and published thousands of copies of it among them, and then sent us unto the red men to bring some copies of it to them, and to tell them this news. So we have come from him, and here is a copy of the Book, which we now present unto our red friend, the Chief of the Delawares, which we hope he will cause to be read and known among his tribe; it will do them good."

THE CHIEF’’S REPLY

"We feel truly thankful to our white friends who have come so far and been at such pains to tell us good news, and especially this new news concerning the Book of our forefathers; it makes us glad in here" - placing his hand on his heart. "It is now winter; we are new settlers to this place; the snow is deep; our cattle and horses are dying; our wigwams are poor; we have much to do in the spring - to build houses and fence and make farms; but we will build a council house and meet together, and you shall read to us and teach us more concerning the Book of our fathers and the will of the Great Spirit."

Elder Parley P. Pratt in his report of the matter adds: we continued for several days to instruct the old chief and many of his tribe. The interest became more and more intense on their part, from day to day, until at length nearly the whole tribe began to feel a spirit of inquiry and excitement on the subject. We found several among them who could read, and to them we gave copies of the Book, explaining to them that it was the Book of their forefathers. Some began to rejoice exceedingly and took great pains to tell the news to others in their own language. The excitment now reached the frontier settlements in Missouri, and stirred up the jealousy and envy of the Indian agents and sectarian missionaries to that degree that we were soon ordered out of the Indian country as disturbers of the peace, and even threatened with the military in case of non-compliance. We accordingly departed from the Indian country and came over the line, and commenced laboring in Jackson county, Missouri, among the whites. We were well received and listened to by many, and some were baptized and added to the Church.

"Thus ended our first Indian mission, in which we had preached the Gospel in its fulness and distributed the record of their forefathers among the three tribes, viz.; the Catteraugus Indians near Buffalo, N. Y.; the Wyandots, of Ohio, and the Delawares west of Missouri." Aut. P. P. Pratt pp. 56-61.

From what we have just read it is plain that the earliest teachings from Joseph Smith was that the American Indians are descended from Israel and are the

literal descendants of the House of Israel and that this is both canonical and revelatory, and as further evidenced by the 1845 Proclamation of the 12 Apostles.

Excerpts of the 1845

PROCLAMATION OF

THE TWELVE APOSTLES

OF THE

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints

TO ALL THE KINGS OF THE WORLD, TO THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; TO THE GOVERNORS OF THE SEVERAL STATES, AND TO THE RULERS AND PEOPLE OF ALL NATIONS.

"We also bear testimony that the "Indians" (so called) of North and South America are a remnant of the tribes of Israel, as is now made manifest by the discovery and revelation of their ancient oracles and records.

‘‘The Lord will make her that halted a remnant, and gather her that was driven out and afflicted; and make her who was cast afar off a strong nation; and will reign over them in Mount Zion from that time forth and for ever.

"Or, in other words, He will assemble the natives, the remnants of Joseph in America, and make of them a great, and strong and powerful nation; and he will civilize and enlighten them, and will establish a holy city, and temple, and seat of government among them, which shall be called Zion.

"And there shall be his tabernacle, his sanctuary, his throne, and seat of government for the whole continent of North and South America for ever; in short, it will be to the western hemisphere what Jerusalem will be to the eastern.

"And there the Messiah will visit them in person; and the old Saints, who will then have been raised from the dead, will be with him; and he will establish his kingdom and laws over all the land.

"To this city, and to its several branches or stakes, shall the Gentiles seek, as to a standard of light and knowledge; yea, the nations, and their kings and nobles shall say-- Come, and let us go up to the Mount Zion, and to the temple of the Lord, where his holy priesthood stand to minister continually before the Lord; and where we may be instructed more fully, and receive the ordinances of remission, and of sanctification, and redemption, and thus be adopted into the family of Israel, and identified in the same covenants of promise.

"The despised and degraded son of the forest, who has wandered in dejection and sorrow, and suffered reproach, shall then drop his disguise and stand forth in manly dignity, and exclaim to the Gentiles who have envied and sold him-" I am Joseph; does my father yet live?" or, in other words, I am a descendant of that Joseph who was sold into Egypt. You have hated me, and sold me, and thought I was dead; but lo! I live and am heir to the inheritance, titles, honours, priesthood, sceptre, crown, throne, and eternal life and dignity of my fathers, who live for evermore.

"He shall then be ordained, washed, anointed with holy oil, and arrayed in fine linen, even in the glorious and beautiful garments and royal robes of the high priesthood, which is after the order of the Son of God; and shall enter into the congregation of the Lord, even into the Holy of Holies, there to be crowned with authority and power which shall never end.

"The spirit of the Lord shall then descend upon him like the dew upon the mountains of Hermon, and like refreshing showers of rain upon the flowers of Paradise.

"His heart shall expand with knowledge, wide as eternity, and his mind shall comprehend the vast creations of his God, and his eternal purpose of redemption, glory, and exaltation, which was devised in heaven before the worlds were organized; but made manifest in these last days, for the fulness of the Gentiles, and for the exaltation of Israel.

"He shall also behold his Redeemer, and be filled with his presence, while the cloud of his glory shall be seen in his temple.

"The city of Zion, with its sanctuary and priesthood, and the glorious fulness of the gospel, will constitute a standard which will put an end to jarring creeds and political wranglings, by uniting the republics, states, provinces, territories, nations, tribes, kindred, tongues, people, and sects of North and South America in one great and common bond of brotherhood; while truth and knowledge shall make them free, and love cement their union.

"The Lord also shall be their king and their lawgiver; while wars shall cease and peace prevail for a thousand years.

"Thus shall American rulers, statesmen and citizens, know this once that there is a God in Israel, who can utter his voice and it shall be fulfilled."

Statements such as one made by Apostle Dallin Oaks in 1993 are once again being retreaded by the FAIR organization wherein he states in his typical debate fashion.... "I suggest that if one is willing to acknowledge the importance of faith and the reality of a realm beyond human understanding, the case for the Book of Mormon is the stronger case to argue. The case against the historicity of the Book of Mormon has to prove a negative. You do not prove a negative by prevailing on one debater’s point or by establishing some subsidiary arguments.".......... Oaks is talking in the air as the Apostle Paul warned us not to do. For this is not a court case where you gain control by edging out your opponent with clever verbiage. It is not a debate between skillful orators. It is an extremely serious matter wherein if the outcome is lost, then the thousands of souls that suffered to bring this Church through to this point and those who were martyred and shed their blood and the millions who are now members will all be for nothing. The Mormon religion is either all or nothing. There can be no in between or gray areas! Oaks continues " In contrast, if the Book of Mormon only purports to be an account of a few peoples who inhabited a portion of the Americas during a few millennia in the past, the burden of argument changes drastically. It is no longer a question of all verses none; it is a question of some verses none. In other words, in the circumstance I describe, the opponents of historicity must prove that the Book of Mormon has no historical validity for any peoples who lived in the Americas in a particular time frame, a notoriously difficult exercise."...........Does one throw the baby out with the bath water? In order to win the debate does one tear down the Book of Mormon by minimizing the scope and magnitude of the areas that it encompasses?

Even anti-Mormons can see through this one. Here an anti Mormon is quoted: "Oaks suspiciously writes; ...........the burden of argument changes drastically." "Actually it doesn’t. For one thing, by its own definition the Book of Mormon is not a history of some small band of shipwrecked immigrants hiding out in total isolation near the mysterious neck of land, desperately avoiding contact with all of the other groups of people living all over the continent. It is, or rather claims to be, the History of a great, but fallen people who are purportedly the "principal ancestors" of the American Indians, and who supposedly at one time covered the entire land. It is a disingenuous bit of backpedaling for a man who calls himself an Apostle of the Lord to even hint that the Book of Mormon, the epic saga of good and evil in the western hemisphere and cornerstone of the LDS religion, might be only an account of an obscure group of Jewish refugees who inhabited no more than a small, and as yet undiscovered corner of the New World."

It is very sad that even a rabid anti-Mormon can see what the Book of Mormon’s intent is and that a learned Apostle of the Mormon Church cannot.

It was taught by Joseph Smith that the Book of Mormon was all inclusive of our western continents. And that the American Indians are the literal descendants of the Israelites who colonized this land. And that they are the principle peoples who will be the beneficiaries of the promises that are contained within the pages of the Book of Mormon. And that the Book of Mormon is the record of their ancestors and ancient oracles, who were the exclusive people upon this land.

Dallin Oaks comments are ludicrous because he must apparently still think he is in court and by changing definitions he may win his court case. But such is not the case. All one has to do is go back a few years more to find that in 1985 when Elder Dallin Oaks was deceived by the Mark Hofmann forgeries, he then zealously went around giving speeches trying to put out the fires that these blatant lies-forgeries caused among the faithful blind faith followers of the modern leadership. Statements such as "Criticism is particularly objectionable when it is directed toward church authorities, general or local".........."It is quite another thing to criticize or depreciate a person for the performance of an office to which he or she has been called of God. It does not matter if the criticism is true"(?????????) He further stated "Our individual, personal testimonies are based on the witness of the spirit, not on any combination or accumulation of historical facts," This sounds like a foundation of sand, because he was coming from a viewpoint that the forgeries where true and he considered them to be facts! It is well known that religion cannot be fully understood unless one comprehends history, and history cannot be fully understood unless one comprehends religion. They go hand in hand, and they support one another. From the forgeries a nonsensical imagined salamander lizard supposedly interfered with Joseph Smiths receiving the records. This idea was swallowed hook, line, and sinker by Elder Dallin Oaks and he responded with the following statements wherein he referred to one dictionary meaning of a salamander as "a mythical being thought to be able to live in fire."And he further stated that, " A being that is able to live in fire is a good approximation of the description Joseph Smith gave of the angel Moroni" This nonsensical statement was possibly the most directly diametrically opposite idea ever uttered by an Apostle of the Mormon Church. He further stated "LDS should be more sophisticated in their evaluation of what they read," and if properly linked to the context that if they read lies-forgeries that are put over by their very own leaders as being true, pertaining to their religion, that they should be more sophisticated in what? In believing that lizards are angels? This makes no sense whatsoever. Or that they should just continue their blind faith following of their leaders. Because their leaders have spoken that the "Thinking has already been done." They as the blind faith followers should continue in the do whatever they tell me to mode and do not question or criticize the Leadership.

It is with great sadness that this article has been written. To see the literal decay and apostasy of the Mormon religion happening all around us is very sobering and distressing.

To see the church slipping down the slippery slope of apostasy by recently putting symbols of evil-pentagrams on their reconstructed Nauvoo temple and lying about photographic evidence of such in a computer enhanced forgery of the original daguerreotype which they said was restored. To hear of the many thousands of babies that have died because of their abominable pro-abortion stand, that allows church sanctioned murder of innocent babies for the sins of their parents. To see the BYU professors becoming more liberal, atheistical and worldly than the rest of the Christian universities. And finally to see the Church leaders trying to rewrite the canon of the Church into a liberal protestant religion that has no semblance to the original Church as established by Joseph Smith.

Could this be the test that Heber C. Kimball prophesied would come to us? And that only those who knew for themselves that Jesus was the Christ would prevail? As we witness the literal fulfillment of the Book of Mormon prophecies they become thrilling to the very core of our souls and give solace to our hearts. The realization that the end times are upon us and that if we stand in holy places and be not moved, repent and be numbered with the House of Israel, that this, will give us our only chance to be a part of the New Millenium which is the hope of all good Christians.

Time nor tide wait for no man. The scripture states; D & C 1 v. 32-33 "Nevertheless, he that repents and does the commandments of the Lord shall be forgiven; And he that repents not, from him shall be taken even the light which he has received; for my spirit shall not always strive with man, saith the Lord of Hosts." Alma 34 v.32-33,35 "For behold , this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors. And now, as I said unto you before, as ye have had so many witnesses, therefore, I beseech of you that ye do not procrastinate the day of your repentance until the end; for after this day of life, which is given us to prepare for eternity, behold if we do not improve our time while in this life, then cometh the night of darkness wherein there can be no labor performed.."....."For behold, if ye have procrastinated the day of your repentance even until death, behold , ye have become subjected to the spirit of the devil, and he doth seal you his; therefore, the spirit of the Lord hath withdrawn from you, and hath no place in you, and the devil hath all power over you; and this is the final state of the wicked." Mos.16 v 27 " for he cannot deny justice when it has its claim" D & C 82 v 3. " For of him unto whom much is given much is required; and he who sins against the greater light shall receive the greater condemnation."
