Experiences Section 8 My wife told me James Farrell could no longer stay in our home, as she believed I was deceived. I told her then I would leave with him as I believed him to be a servant of God. As we left the house and walked away, I felt very bad at leaving my wife, but he said to me. "If you don't go with me I have the power to throw you back to the bottom of the sea." I knew what he meant, my prayers would stop, and I would go downward. I went back and told my wife, not to worry. I would be back. When I rejoined James Farrell, he said "you shouldn't have told her you would be back." I thought he meant for her good and mine; that she should learn a lesson, and I should be more resolved to follow God, no matter what the sacrifice. After we left my house, we drove to a section of Salt Lake where I parked. He left, saying he had some business. As soon as he left, a car with California license plates drove up and parked right next to my car. A dark complexioned man sat alone the car, and didn't get out, or look at me, but started reading something. I had the feeling I was next to a murderer who was going to kill me. I waited anxiously for an hour or more for James Farrell to come back. I was very relieved when Farrell came back. He told me. "I have put a deal over for you Rich, and I want you to know, you are dealing with a good guy. They asked me how you felt, and I told them you felt bad about leaving your wife; and they said they understood, because they had been through the same thing." He told me to remember I had a friend, meaning the Savior. |
