Seeing the Savior (Section 1) Experiences, Section 6 He had shaved all his hair off and had me do the same. He spent several days at our house working in the yard. One thing he had me do was saw some dead limbs off a tree to trim it, and he cut the tree limbs into very neat little piles of twigs, which it seemed to me took much patience and skill. He mentioned when he first came, he could enjoy food by watching others enjoy eating. I thought he meant he had come to dinner, although we didn't see him, and he enjoyed watching my wife and I enjoy the nice supper. In the yard there was an ant bed that suddenly cropped up. James Farrell told me to get some kerosene and pour down their holes and light a fire. He said if they got in the house, they would get into everything, as he lit the fire, he said that will put a damper on them. I thought he was letting me know not to let someone in my house, when a car drove up with two members of an apostate religious sect, whom I had known before. James Farrell told them, if there are any vipers who come to town, they always looked him up. Then he smiled and shook hands with them. I was aware he was beating them at their own game, acting typically the way such hypocrites act. He knew such men for what they were. That is typical of such men who hide behind religion, but are wolves in sheeps clothing. Let them in your house, and they will get into everything. The only defense is to not let them in, and rebuff them. When the two men left he said to me, "You can't be friends with everyone Rich." |
